Holyrood Secondary are offering parents and carers an opportunity to take part in a programme called Your Resilience that has been developed in partnership with CAMHS. The sessions are designed to support open conversation about what resilience is and what is required to build it.
By taking part in the 4-week programme you will have:
An increased understanding of resilience.
Feel confident in discussing mental health, resilience and wellbeing with your child.
Feel better equipped to support your child as a result of applying skills learnt.
Increased knowledge of mental health and resilience tools.
How the programme is structured:
Week 1 Wed 14th January 2026 – What is resilience?
Week 2 Wed 21st January 2026– Coping with stress
Week 3 Wed 28th January 2026- Managing friendships & social pressures
Week 4 Wed 4th February 2026– Having conversations about resilience and managing your own mental health
The classes will run from 5pm-6pm in the library. Spaces are limited to 30 people each session.

Xpressions app has had an update. The name and logo have changed to Eduspot. Please update or download the new app. Log in using the email address you have registered with the school office.
The Reading Schools Committee, led by students, is working towards becoming a Gold Reading School by continuing to develop the reading culture of Holyrood. We currently have the Silver award and have been creating more opportunities for students to engage with reading. We would love to hear feedback from parents and carers in our community. Congratulations to Miss O’Donnell and The Sustainability Team they have been awarded the Green Flag for Learning for Sustainability. They have been awarded a special commendation for the outstanding work they have been doing across the curriculum to embed sustainability into departments across our school.
